Chris Murtha – Owner
I am a long time resident of Englewood, with my wife Cristine and two children, Nick and Alex.
As a young business owner, husband and father, it is important to me to be involved with the community. Therefore, with that belief, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Englewood/Cape Haze Area Chamber of Commerce and graduate of Leadership Englewood 2011. I also am the Chairman of the Membership committee as well as the Network at Noon for the Englewood Chamber.
I have proudly served in the United States Army which included tours in South Korea, South Carolina, Georgia and Texas. I have been awarded two Army Achievement Medals and an Army Commendation Medal. I also was awarded a Silver in the German Forces Proficiency Badge. Within 3 years of service, I attained the rank of Sergeant. I was discharged honorably in March 2002.
In 2006 I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. (Go Bulls!) While still attending classes at USF, I began working with my father, Tom Murtha, at his firm, Flischel, Murtha and Associates, in 2006. It was during my tenure, while working closely with my father, that I learned the importance of giving back to the community while providing outstanding customer service, without sacrificing quality.
My mission is to be hands down the best accounting firm in Southwest Florida and I am willing to do what it takes to make that happen.
Joyce Luke – Office Manager
I have lived in Englewood since 2003 with my husband Rod and two children, Alexandra and Logan.
I am a proud accounting graduate, with Highest Distinction, from Purdue University North Central. My experience has taken me from Assistant to the Controller at Porter-Starke Counseling Services in Valparaiso, Indiana to Accounting Specialist at the Mental Health Center of Dane County in Madison, Wisconsin. Since moving to Florida, I handle the accounting for my husband’s business, Custom Homes of Rotonda, while assisting Chris with his office and various services for our clients.
I have a strong background in all aspects of office management. My training is varied on programs such as QuickBooks Desktop versions, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Payroll, Bill.com and all Microsoft Office applications.
I, too, believe strongly in exceptional customer service without sacrificing quality. I make it my daily goal to approach each client with courtesy, efficiency, reliability and accuracy.
